1452.0. "Show record and Iconic map" by RDGENG::PRATT () Thu Sep 05 1991 11:32

If you use the Iconic map to 'show record' on an entity with the partition
wildcarded, then each partition is written over the previous one in the iconic
window, so unless you are looking very carefully then you miss the first ones,
and only see the last one displayed. It would be nice if the where all displayed
in the window, and use the scroll bar to check each partition is there.

Ian,

This is a known problem which is release-noted. It occurs because the Iconic
Map cannot tell what a handle of more refers to (ie more time or more data) and
in V1.1 it assumes more due to time and reissues the call function. When this
is really true, the next time the call is executed, the data overlays the first
reply, but in this case, they come in rapid succession and overlay one another.

When we have a WHY MORE command to use, we can fix the problem. The suggested
workaround for now is not to wildcard the partition but ask for them one at
a time.
