I apologize if this is covered else where (a pointer will be welcome) As I understand it the "next" release of the SNMP AM will support the MIB II. Does this mean that we can categorically state that the SNMP AM V1.1 implements the RFC 1158 ( as opposed to the 1066 MIB I, one) ? If not, then which RFC can be quoted ? Amrit

It will implement/support MIB I *and* MIB II in addition to having the ability to easily add vendor specific private mibs that are in the ASN.1 concise MIB format. As for the "RFC" specifically, our SNMP heavies are out in California doing Interop hot staging. I'll ask them to be explicit when they return. JCE
1366.2 | The doc says... | NEOV00::MRIVERA | Mario Rivera, EIS Monterrey Mexico | Fri Aug 23 1991 14:05 | 10 |
Preliminary doc of SNMP AM says (page 1-2) that it supports RFC 1156 (MIB I) RFC 1213 (MIB II) I revised my notes and RFC 1156 obsoletes 1066; and RFC 1213 obsoletes 1158. Regards, Mario
