I have a problem with the Exporter + Historian. If i use the historian or the exporter it goes well, but the problem comes when i want to export data from the past saved with the historian. I have DECmcc v1.1 and Rdb-RT 4.0. When i select from the iconic map to export data from the past, the clock appears as it is working for about 30 minutes (i had selected data from only 5 minutes) and then the window of the export data and the window with the map dissapear (the process dies) and i'm not able to start another map. I reboot the vaxstation and after that when i trie to export data again of the same entity it says Entity existence cannot be determined MCC-E-NOATTREXIST Specified attribute record does not exist This problem has occurred 2 times, with the line SVA-0 and with the circuit SVA-0. I delete and deregister the node from the map, and tried to begin again, but the problem continues and i'm not able to do anything with the circuit or the line. I wait for suggestions, thanks Asun Ariza.

I have experienced something quite similar. From the Iconic Map I had previously started a Record directive for counters on entities "node4 TROR01 circ SYN-0 and SYN-1". This appeared to be working, at least according to a Show Recording directive. BTW, I am invoking the Iconic Map in the following way. I create a command procedure on the DECmcc system, that has the command lines to send the display via decnet back to my own workstation. I then submit this command procedure to the system batch. The Iconic Map window appears on my workstation shortly thereafter. This way I don't have to tie up one of my Decterm sessions for a DECmcc Map window. Anyways, after the record directive has been running, I execute an Export directive, again via Iconic Map, on the exact same entities. In my case, once I clicked on Start Operation it sat there for the longest time looking like it was working (I was trying to export about 18hrs of past counter data based on 15min intervals). Eventually my windows disintegrated. When I looked at the batch queue that had this set display process running it was still there "executing". When I looked at the process, it was in the RWMBX state. Note: The processes involved here have the quotas set as prescribed in the 1.1 Release Notes. I haven't yet tried any other combination of functions, but does someone know whether or not this particular scenerio should work? regards, Steve |
