I'm looking for some REAL good alarm rules that people are using to manage their networks. My intent is to make these avialble to customers to "jump start" them. If you have any, please either post them here as replies to my note or mail them directly to me. Thanks, JCE

Access circuits ( low speed local loops) usually bounce from time to time. Network manager should be able to say, a single bounce within a day, don't bother alarming, but give me a weekly report. 3 bounces within 24 hours, alarm or alert, schedule maintenance call. 3 bounces within 15 minutes, declare circuit as bad and take repair actions. |
