1134.0. "Problems with populate and SNMP ?" by MFRNW1::DEHMEL (Karl Schuster @MGO Network Services) Thu Jun 13 1991 12:07
hi,
I've got a customer who is "playing around" with DECmcc (DECmcc V1.1,
SNMP V1.0). He is creating his own domain (only for SNMP Entities) and
has come across the problem that he cannot populate his domain.
After registering all needed entities, the command
MCC> POPULATE DOMAIN test SELECT LIST = (SNMP *) , displays the status:
The requested operation cannot be completed
MCC Routine Error = %MCC-E-NOPARAMLIST, no parameter list was
supplied in this ILV buffer
On the other hand, when using a specific entity :
MCC> POPULATE DOMAIN test SELECT LIST = (SNMP .mfrnw2) , the status is:
Populate Successful, but when opening the Domain, the entity is not visible.
Are there any known Problems with SNMP and Populate ?.
NODE4 and Bridge works fine.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Alfred
