Hello, Can I copy my MCC map files from one system to another, each having its own seperate namespace? I tried it, it didn't seem to work. Anything I can do short of redrawing these maps?? The map does come up with the entities autoplaced proving DNS has the entities. Any help is most appreciated. thanks, brad...

Yes, assuming that you have a domain in each namespace with the same
entities in them.
The proceedure is simple;
- find the map file you want to copy
- it will be in the form MCC_nnnn(very-long-#).MCC_domain-name
- copy it to the target area with the name
MCC_domain-name.MCC_MAP
- bring up DECmcc and open the domain. You should see the map. If so,
then SAVE MAP right away.

Rob, Not sure where you got this one from. Must be another section of manual I've missed somewhere along the line! But the last ten minutes just saved us 2-3 days at least in redrawing if it came down to it. thanks, brad... | |||||
