1077.0. "ERROR - when reference data is a long string" by RACER::DAVE (Attending The School of Comparative Irrevelevance) Thu May 30 1991 18:09
In V1.1, if you try to set a reference data field to a string longer than
255 bytes, the object attributes in DNS get corrupted, and reference
data cannot be examined. MCC displays an error message "FFFFFFFF",
and there is no simple fix.
The Cure, for now, is to deregister the object, and register it again,
adding it to all the domains it was in.
MCC development has this one on the bug list, too.
