During the installation of DECmcc/EMS V2.1, I received this message on
my screen :
:
:
%VMSINSTAL-I-RESTORE, Restoring product save set F ...
%BACKUP-E-OPENOUT, error opening
$1$DKB200:[SYS0.SYSUPD.MCCEMS021]ELMS$FILEVIEW.COM;1 as output
-RMS-E-FEX, file already exists, not superseded
%VMSINSTAL-E-NOSAVESET, Save set F cannot be restored.

With the exception of the RDB error as discussed in notes 975.*, the
installation completed successfully.
Can anybody tell me what to do with Saveset F ??? I beleive the files
belong to DECelms ....
Regards,
Stphane

| 1075.1 | DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1 SSB kits have been rebuilt! | TOOK::SZABIET | Thu Jun 13 1991 15:29 | 33 | |
Hi,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you...
There had been a problem with the restoration of the DECelms
saveset (saveset F) within DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1.
We have since rebuilt the DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1 kits and have
resubmitted the media to SSB. In this updated SSB kit we have
fixed the DECelms saveset restoration problem, in addition to some
other fixes (please refer to note #40.18 for more information regarding
the other fixes).
It is strongly recommended that you reinstall DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1 using
the *updated* SSB kit (if you installed DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1 SSB using
savesets dated April 23-25 1991, you should reinstall. The updated
savesets are dated 10-JUN-1991).
You can find the updated DECmcc EMS V2.1 SSB kit at:
PPINC::DUA0:[SZABIET.PUBLIC.EMS_V21_KIT]MCCEMS021.*
The updated DECmcc SMS V2.1 SSB kit can be found at:
PPINC::DUA0:[SZABIET.PUBLIC.SMS_V21_KIT]MCCSMS021.*

Also note that the release notes from the updated SSB kits contain
additional information. It is recommended that you read these release
notes carefully before installing the updated DECmcc EMS/SMS V2.1 SSB
software.
