1007.0. "DECmcc, does work with DECwindows ?" by BRSSWS::FOLENS () Tue May 14 1991 08:48
Hello,
I have also the problem mentioned in note 695 when starting mcc with the
command :
manage/entity/interface=decwindows
The same eror appears about a file named mcc_iconic_map_pm.exe that is not
found.
The replies to this note are indicating to use BMS v1.1, but the term
Iconic and DECwindows already appeared before this version in this notes
conference.
I'm quit new in this software.
If you install DECmcc SMS v2.0 with all options (BMS, LTM, TSM, Ethernim,
DECelms), what do you need to do to have the DECwindows functionality.
I could'nt find the above mentioned file in the save set of DECmcc SMS,
neither could I find the files MCC$MSL.EXE and MCC$MSL_SYMBOL.EXE, which
are mentioned in the Post installationprocedures at page 4.10 of the
DECmcc Management Station Installation guide.
So, who can clear this up for me ?

| Check if the logical MCC_ICONIC_MAP_PM is defined. If so, do a
directory/protection MCC_ICONIC_MAP_PM. This will verify that
the file exists, you have read access to it, and the MCC
startup procedure defined the logical which points to the
executable.
If the logical is not defined, re-execute the mcc startup procedure.

DECmcc EMS & SMS V2.0 include V1.0 of the DECmcc Director|BMS, which does NOT
support DECwindows. DECmcc EMS & SMS V2.1 include V1.1 of the DECmcc
Director|BMS which DOES support DECwindows.
