Installing Ethernet AM from the 1.1 kit. It does not allow the registration of ethernet devices. The MCC has Phase IV nodes up and being monitored, but every time an ethernet address is registered it responds with "cannot communicate with target". This has none of the point products installed, so I do not believe there would be an issue with contention for the ethernet port. I was also specifiying the port ESA0: when registering. (ie via port eas0:). I am sure it is something basic, but I was unfortunately working blind! Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Rex

You haven't supplied enough information for me to help you. What "ethernet devices" are you trying to register? Can you supply a sample of the REGISTER syntax you are using? If you're trying to REGISTER stations that are part of a Phase IV node, are you apecifying both the DECnet Physical Address and the Hardware Address? Are you specifying just the ROM Address? Can you post the output of the SHOW MCC 0 ETHERNET_AM ALL STATUS command? Why are you using VIA PORT? |
