I am in the throws of setting up an SMS for a customer, but they want
V1.1 of the BMS software as opposed to the V1.0 that is currently
standard with SMS.
Where can I obtain a copy for the customer to install, in the UK it is
advertised as being for sale but I wish to save on some lead time and
also ensure I can install the V1.1 software within the timescales of
the consultancy they have booked with myself.
Regards,
Rex

| 982.1 | SMS V2.1 has it | NSSG::R_SPENCE | Nets don't fail me now... | Thu May 02 1991 12:47 | 4 |
I believe that SMS V2.1 is now available (or real soon now) which
contains V1.1 of the Director.

| 982.2 | SMS/EMS ships late may/early june | ENUF::GASSMAN | Fri May 03 1991 15:19 | 8 | |
The SMS/EMS kits were due to ship at the end of May - but a snag has
developed that may delay that a bit... (and then maybe not). The
problem is that all 12 customers of BMS are getting V1.1 now, but the
500 SMS/EMS customers have to wait a month or so. You can't just give
them BMS, since you'd have to eat the cost of the extra set of
documentation.

| 982.3 | BMS V1.1 now on CD | ENUF::GASSMAN | Fri May 03 1991 16:16 | 5 | |
Addendum: BMS V1.1 shipped to customers on the May software CD set, so
anyone that used CD technology can install BMS V1.1 right away since it
will check for a SMS/EMS license... Not having documentation will be
a problem however...
