I am running DECmcc on a monochrome workstation. When I enter text onto
the map, it is displayed in black while I am typing it but changes to
white when I save it so that I can only see it if I subsequently move
it to a black background. How can I force it to be saved as black?

What are lineColor, iconForeground and windowBackground defined to be in your sys$login:mcc_resource.dat file? Fred | |||||

The mcc_resource.dat file in sys$library, which I have now copied to
sys$login, has:
lineColor darkgrey
iconForeground blue
windowBackground white

Gary,
As stated in the release notes( at least the last time I checked), If
you're using monochrome, set window background to white and the other
two resources to black. Complementarily, you may set window background
to black and the other two resources to white.
