911.0. "DNS and further Versions of MCC?
" by ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR () Fri Apr 12 1991 11:13
Hello,
As you can read in Topic 652 V1.1 of DECmcc uses the DEC default namespace and
some directories in DNS must be in the top of the tree. This means that we
have to build an owne Namespace for DECmcc, a so cold (my word for this)
DNSisland.
When a cusomer wants to implement DNS, at least when he wants to implement
Phase V, it would be nice for him to build one factory-wide Namespace.
Now my question:
What does it mean to the customer, when he updates V1.1 MCC to V1.? with the
"Namespace bug" fixed. Must he start from the base to build his DNS entries for
DECmcc? And re-register all entities?
