I have instances of child entities. These child entities are not registered in DNS (DYNAMIC=TRUE in MSL and no Register/Deregsiter directives defined for these child classes). When I want to delete one of these child entity instances using the delete icon of the Toolbox, I get the following error: The requested operation cannot be completed with MCC error status of MCC_S_NOPARENT, with the exception window title of "Deregister Entity". It appears that it is doing a Deregister but I only want (and must do) a delete. (this works fine from the FCL). Phil

RE: .1 That's wierd, Phil. That sort of thing is working for me with similar dynamic entity structure. Is your show or delete entry point getting called at all? If so have a look at in_entity, NO_PARENT usually means a scrozzled entity spec in my experience. (I ask about show because the IMPM sometimes sniffs around to decide what to do.) | |||||

Problem found. It has nothing to do with IMPM. Mismatch between IDcode of registered global entity in DNS and recently re-numbered IDcode in MIR. Reply 902.3 has further details. |
