    I have just been trying to install the MCCEMS kit and I don't have all
    of the manuals.  This caused me some problems as when I went to install
    I didn't have some of my sysgen params set properly.  I couldn't find
    them in this conference and it does not say ( that I could find) in the
    DECmcc installation guide that I copied accross the net.  
    
    
    Here is my request: 
    
    After tearing apart the install kit I managed to find out what the
    params that I need were. Here are the ones that are in the KITINSTAL.com
    
    gblpages		 1050
    gblsections		   24
    virtualpagecnt	20000
    lockidtbl		 8192
    reshashtbl		 1048
    srpcount		 4096
    srpcountv		10000
    
    
    
    It would be nice if when the installation procedure found that you did
    not have the params set properly that it indicated what it was looking
    for instead of just saying  " increase lockidtbl" etc...
    
    
    This may help others that do not have access to all of the manuals and
    install things by the seat of the pants.

    Well, we always refer back to the Install manual -- for different
    products require different parameters, and combination of products
    chosen to be installed may influence the parameters needed to be
    adjusted.
    
    Nonetheless, I forwarded your request to the Project Leader of EMS/SMS
    V2.1.  She's close to finishing, so it's doubtful this gets added.

It was just a thought .  

By the way , could some one tell me exactly where and in what INSTALL manual 
these parameters are stated.   I only have access to the documents that are 
on the net and have so far only printed the DECMCC_INSTALL_V11_FINAL.PS;1 and
I fail to see these numbers in it. ( I have been known to be selectively blind
at times though)

    I don't see it either.  I checked the release notes as well.  Maybe it
    was left out of the MCC V1.1 docs.  There are some vague references
    in the "Recovering from Errors During Installation" section that says
    that sufficient global pages must exist.
    
    I see sections on process quotas but nothing on SYSGEN quotas.
    
    In the EMS/SMS V2.1 install guide, there will be a section (currently
    1.9) that lists the needed quotas for each product.  Anything missed in
    this section will be put in the release notes.
