| The _System Reference Manual_ is not available on-line.
(At 1,000+ pages, perhaps it's just as well 8^)
As for inserted blank pages, for the user documentation, at least, I
claim that's all been done. If you see exceptions, please send me
mail.

776.2 | Are you doing bookreader docs ? | MARVIN::WARWICK | Trevor Warwick | Sun Mar 10 1991 07:04 | 5 |

I would submit that because it is 1,000 pages+, it **should** be
online, but as a Bookreader file, rather than a Postscript file.

776.3 | Now for the stupid question: Why? | VISA::CHURCH | Dave Church, CT Eng. Europe/Valbonne | Mon Mar 11 1991 03:25 | 7 |

May seem a stupid question by why is it only available in "paper" form?
Just think about all those poor trees, now if only we could get it in
Bookreader format! Wouldn't it save Digital money as well?

| The SRM was done using LaTex to its fullest extent. There
hasn't been any Latex to Bookreader conversion tools available.
We are in the process of getting all the user Docs (currently
in Interleaf) and the SRM (LaTex) and the MRMs (LaTex - I
think) into Bookreader format for V1.2 of the product.
Look, we're all out to save the planet. This is a discussion
of DECmcc, not the enviroment. The topic of Bookreader is
through out this conference. We've heard you and we are doing
something about it, but not at the expense of having our
competition take market share away from us by delivering better
products.
End of discussion.
