I've got a specialist installing TCP/IP ACCESS MODULE on a MCC 1.0 that comes along with MCC-SMS V2.0. He installed MCC 1.0 and its license with no problem. He installed the TCP/IP license, however during the installation it states the following error message: MCCTCP-E-DECMCCTCPIPMCCREQ REQUIRES MCC TO BE INSTALLED I went into MCC and did a MCC>TEST MCC 0 and it worked successfully. What are we missing here? Thanks for any information on this, RO

703.1 | Please check sys$sysroot | CHRISB::BRIENEN | DECmcc Bridge|Station Management. | Mon Feb 11 1991 16:38 | 11 |
That's a really wierd problem... The TCP/IP ACCESS MODULE does a check for the file: SYS$SYSROOT:[SYSLIB]MCC_MTS_PRIV_SHR.EXE ...and generates the message you reported if the file is not found. Can you verify that the logical SYS$SYSROOT has SYS$COMMON defined in it as well? i.e. $DIR SYS$COMMON:[syslib]MCC_MTS_PRIV_SHR.EXE should also find the file...
703.2 | Can't find/see the PAK | SPOSWS::GROSS | Tue Feb 12 1991 09:38 | 9
I'll check the sys$sysroot tomorrow. I'm the "specialist" who experienced this problem. However, Richard at CSC (Noter 703.0) advised yesterday that the SNMP AM looks for the DECmcc or BMS PAK. The customer has the SMS PAK loaded (which should be good) but the SNMP AM may not like it. Tomorrow we'll test it with the DECmcc PAK on-site with the customer. Results will be posted. Steve
703.3 | It works with the DECmcc PAK | SPOSWS::GROSS | Tue Feb 12 1991 17:01 | 4
DECmcc PAK was loaded and the SNMP AM installation worked. Steve |
