Hello,
I just ran into a problem when installing the freshly available TS AM:
the DECmcc/Director & BMS license check fails miserably and aborts the
installation, with the message :
"requires decmcc".
This is despite the fact that MCC is installed and that I have the
required licenses.
I commented out the license check in the KITINSTAL.COM and was amused
by the fact that this is known as a "potential problems" (re: the
comments in KITINSTAL.COM...).
I'm afraid it changed from a potential to kinetic ! Installation now
underway... I'll go and have a cup of coffee while the parse tables get
rebuilt !
Regards,
Philippe.

Philippe -
What version of DECmcc are you running?
It looks like the installation procedure is checking only for
V1.0 licenses, while it should actually check for V1.0 or
V1.1.

At any rate, the V1.0 TCP/IP AM checks for BMS or Director V1.0 licenses, and it installs fine over V1.1 licenses. The only failure I've seen is because there wasn't a valid BMS/Dir license at all ( but there WAS a EMS or SMS license... ) Mike | |||||
