672.0. "Can you "FIND" an entity in another map?" by DUCAT2::64544::LICAUSE (Al Licause (338-5661)) Tue Jan 29 1991 11:17
I was wondering if it is intended to be able to find another entity such
as a node or domain from an iconic map?
Or are you limited to "finding" entities only on the currently displayed map?
If the later, then how difficult would it be to implement the former?
It would sure be nice to be able to find an individual entity w/o having
to traverse all of the maps that one might have created.
It would be nice also to jump to that map, in case a rule or, when available,
a network event fired, so as to display that event iconically.

Al,
There are no *current* plans to augment the "Find" functionality.
