I've just installed the MCCTCPIP010 kit on top of my V1.1 EFT of MCC. The installed seem to go w/o problems and infact everything seems to check out. I can SHOW SNMP node whatever and get back good information. When I try to register SNMP's I get the following results: $ mcc register snmp frazit DECmcc (T1.1.0) SNMP FRAZIT AT 28-JAN-1991 17:02:17 The requested operation cannot be completed MCC Routine Error = %DNS-E-UNKNOWNENTRY, Requested entry does not exist I did install UCX013 after I had completed the SNMP module install. From the error above, I'm wondering if there is supposed to be another DNS directory for SNMP entities. If so, should this have been setup by the SNMP module install or did I miss something that I was to have run manually? Any help greatly appreciated. Al

Check whether .MCC_IP directory is there or not in the DNS name space. DECmcc needs this directory for SNMP. Jay

The TCP/IP SNMP AM release notes describe setting up this directory. A future version will handle this more cleanly. Mike
