651.2 | FDDI AM vs FDDI-related AMs | CHRISB::BRIENEN | DECmcc Bridge|Station Management. | Wed Jan 23 1991 13:06 | 14 |
There are FDDI-related AMs currently in development: 1. Bridge AM extensions for DECbridge 500 and others 2. Concentrator AM for management of DECconcentrators ..both will have some sort of SIF/NIF functionality (since its supported by the management protocol for DECbridge/DECconcentrator). The FDDI AM is currently viewed as similar to the Ethernet Station AM, but would apply to members of a FDDI ring. Extensions to the mcc_ea_* routines (or perhaps new mcc_fddi_* routines) would probably have to be developed as part of this effort... Chris Brienen
651.3 | FDDI related AM | QUIVER::PARK | Wed Jan 23 1991 15:31 | 6
We don't have any plan to develop the FDDI AM at this moment. However, we are developing a extended Bridge AM and Concentrator AM to manage FDDI related product. There will be a FM to draw a ring map of a FDDI ring this summer. Jae |
