I need to get up to speed quickly on our network management strategy. Is there a presentation online with script regarding our products. Is there a product strategy, status sheet. Do we have official names for these products that mean something. Is MCC for Ultrix really the Management Station for Ultrix (MSU) ? If not what is the product that we are shipping now on Ultrix. When will we have a EMA compliant MCC for Ultrix product. As I understand it the latest network management tool that were are shipping is the Network Management Workstation which is existing tools modified to run under DECwindows. When will we ship MCC for VMS. Sorry for the dumb questions but I keep getting different answers from everyone that I ask. Thanks, Steve

I have forwarded your note to product management, Daniel Holland (delni::d_holland), you could also contact Hakim Dhilla (delni::). A few notes back you will also see an announcement from John Egolf about a demo that is available with a script, and from Colin Strutt and internal use on set of slides, and some where you will also find the SPDs. | |||||

As to dates - MCC V1.0 on VMS is shipping NOW. MSU is our current net management offering on ULTRIX. MCC on ULTRIX is targeted for late spring 1991 The names are in the SPD's whice are somewhere in here. Whether that mean anything is a judgement call. No question is really dumb. As for answers .... -Kevin |
