[How] Does the LTM and ETHERnim PPs integrate with DECmcc Director et al? Now? In the future? What I am interested in is LTMs ability to provide information about gross/total Ethernet loadings, which seem not to be available through the Performance Analysis FM. Does/Will LTM have the ability to load data into the MIR so that reports can be generated on Ethernet utilization in total and by protocol and between station pairs etc? Regards Richard Sharpe

The point products, such as LTM and ETHERnim, are not really integrated with the DECmcc Director. While these products are currently packaged together in DECmcc SMS/EMS (V2.0 includes BMS V1.0), this does not mean integration. Over time, the functionality of the point products will be incorporated into the EMA-compliant DECmcc products. As you've noticed, some of the point product functionality is already part of DECmcc Director/BMS. The PPs will not be upgraded to become integrated with the DECmcc Director, though, which seems to be what you're really asking. This is really a functionality phase-in approach; it will occur during multiple versions, not all at once. We are continuing to investigate. Lisa |
