413.4 | Any more news on Codex? | BELMNT::PIETRONIGRO | | Thu Mar 07 1991 14:50 | 6 |
| Is there any additional information about the Codex AM managing the
Codex 6000 mux series (ie 6745,6740,6005,6760). It was stated that the
AM will manage Codex devices via Codex's 9800 Net Mgmt Station. What
equipment does that specifically address in Codex's product line?

413.5 | Transmission Devices? | NSSG::R_SPENCE | Nets don't fail me now... | Mon Mar 11 1991 17:19 | 9 |
| For the current planned release of the Codex Module (as explained to me
at Net U by the Codex rep), only Transmission Devices will be
supported. This means things like Modems etc. Best thing is to contact
the Codex people for details or contact Earl Ingalls at LKG.
My understanding is that they will add devices IF it looks like the
product will have sufficient sales demand.

413.6 | Codex AM availability. | TOOK::E_HATEM | | Tue Mar 12 1991 17:09 | 8 |
| The Codex Access Module requires the Codex 9800 Network Mangement System to
manage Codex devices. Currently, Codex will customize the Access Module based
on what products customers want to manage and will price it accordingly.
We are working with Codex to build a base-level release with specific
functionality.

413.7 | Displaying PC based info on MCC workstation | AUNTB::BRILEY | Are you a rock or leaf in the wind | Wed Aug 14 1991 10:03 | 12 |
| I have a customer who is looking at the CODEX PC based Network
Management System, I believe it is the 9300(?). They are implementing
MCC as their network management system and would like the displays from
the CODEX system to be displayed in a window on their MCC workstation.
Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be done?
We have talked to them about the 9800 system, but they do not think
that they have enough CODEX equipment to justify a $90K investment.
Thanks,
Rob
