X1.1.0 The MSL has: CHILD ENTITY VMS File = 13 : But the entity is displayed in the Map window as Vms file... More worrisome is a problem that does not appear at all times. The problem manifests itself as black vertical bars about a character wide. The bars appear only in map windows that have multi-word child entities displayed. The bars show up in and around the child entity names. But the wierd part is that they have never shown up when I run DECmcc on our cluster and define display to point at my Ultrix V4.0 RISC workstation. They don't show up run I run DECmcc on LaMama, a VS3100 running VMS 5.3 and set display to point at my workstation. The bars *do* show up when Lynne runs on LaMama (her WS) with local display. Very curious, eh?

364.1 | Problem still happens when spaces changed to underscores | COOKIE::KITTELL | Richard - Architected Info Mgmt | Sat Sep 29 1990 16:03 | 19 |
We changed CHILD ENTITY VMS File = 13 : to CHILD ENTITY VMS_File = 13 : and we still have the problem. Next I'll try CHILD ENTITY VMSFile = 13 : We did a screen capture and tried to post it. But the version of Notes on Cookie has been upgraded since the last time I did that, and the new version doesn't seem to be able to post DDIF anymore. If you want the screen capture, send mail to COOKIE::LBROWN and she can mail you PostScript. | |||||

<<< Note 364.1 by COOKIE::KITTELL "Richard - Architected Info Mgmt" >>> -< Problem still happens when spaces changed to underscores >- I got the same Problen wenn i did an upgrade to vms 5.4 <Internal SSB>. It looks like a Problen of the DecwondowServer under VMS 5.4, because wenn i use a vaxstation running a vms 5.3 every is working well. My guess it is an incompatibily between a decmcc 1.1 and decwindowns under VMS 5.4 ! Ahmed |
