I am attempting to install DECmcc v1.0 and it fails with the following: DECmcc Station V1.0 FileView installation beginning... Terminal Server Manager VMS Version 1.3 installation beginning... %VMSINSTAL-E-INSFAIL, The installation of MCCSMS V1.0 has failed. Enter the products to be processed from the next distribution volume set. * Products: What is happening? The release notes and Installation Guide has no help. Norm

If all you saw was : DECmcc Station V1.0 FileView installation beginning... Terminal Server Manager VMS Version 1.3 installation beginning ... then it looks like the next task of kitinstal.com is to verify the location the TSM directory, and to link TSM message files. Perhaps the ability to create a SYS$COMMON:[DECSERVER] directory is impeded by file protections against the system account. You can running the installation in debug mode and see if this identifies the exact problem. -Will- | |||||

Thanks. Might just be the problem since we just move to a new system device. Norm |
