I have a customer intereted in utilizing the SNMP Access Module
with the DECmcc - VMS.
Specifically, the customer is interested in what would be required
to get proper management through the DECmcc when utilizing the
SNMP agents of both the Chipcom OnLine Concentrator for 10baseT
(from DIGITAL) and the use of Cisco Routers.
Please note that the vast majority of the WAN traffic will be
DECnet.
Have both Chipcom and Cisco been added to the list (?) as vendors
for use with the SNMP Access Module?
What are the MIB extension considerations, if any?

V1.0 of the AM will handle MIB I for any conformant agent. V1.1 ( tentatively scheduled around DECmcc V1.1 timeframe ) will handle MIB II, and any MIB extensions. Please forward specific requirements to the product manager Hakim ( DELNI ) Dhilla. Thanks, Mike | |||||
