51.0. "QUESTION - defining ASN.1 OPTIONAL in MSL" by FORTY2::BOONHAM (Chris) Tue Feb 06 1990 12:22
I'm trying to define an X.400 ORName TYPE in MSL:
ORName ::= [APPLICATION 0] SEQUENCE {
address COMPONENTS OF ORAddress,
directory-name [0] Name OPTIONAL }
How do I specify in MSL that the Name is optional? That is the ORName
might consist of an ORAddress, or an ORAddress and a Name.
If the Name is not present in the ASN.1, then the I don't want the director to
display it (not even Name with an null string). X.400 defines a lot OPTIONAL
attributes!
Suggestions welcome.
Chris.
