I have a question related to the support of Ada in the MSL and in MCC in general. In the toolkit reference, Ada is not mentionned as a supported language, but if you use msl with language = Ada, it works and creates a .ada file. However, include files (interface_def and vea_def) are not present for Ada. Is Ada a supported language for writing AMs ? if not, will it be ? Marc.

As you might have figured out, the MSL translator uses SDL to generate the include files. It is for this reason that you are able to specify any SDL support language as a value for the MSL /LANGUAGE qualifier. At this time Ada is not one of the languages that we were planning on supplying interface_def or vea_def include files for. If you have specific requirements for Ada support, please send you requests to Peter Savage, TOOK::P_Savage, and he will get them addressed for you. | |||||

Thanks for the reply, Jill. One of our project group is developing in Ada and plans to develop an AM for their application. I will send a request for support of Ada with more details to Peter Savage. Marc. |
