KEYWORDS: Rdb OpenVMS NSDS-E-RECNONAME
TITLE: %NSDS-E-RECNONAME, Record Descriptor Has No Name
PRODUCT: Rdb Transparent Gateway for RMS V3.0*
OP/SYS: OpenVMS VAX V5.5 and higher
SOURCE: Oracle Worldwide Customer Support
SYMPTOM:
From interactive SQL you cannot see your RMS file. Your file appears
to be properly defined in CDD. You can attach from interactive SQL but SHOW
TABLES returns nothing. Defining NSDS$DEBUG_FLAGS "CE" and then trying the
SQL SHOW TABLES command returns the following error:
%NSDS-E-RECNONAME, record descriptor has no name
RESPONSE:
This problem has been reported to Engineering.
WORKAROUND:
None.
ANALYSIS:
We expect your file has a fixed length record size of 6000 bytes or higher
and contains over 1500 columns, or is relatively close to these values.
Testing with CDO reader as opposed to CDD results in the following error:
NSDS-F-INTERRIDFN, Internal error detected (code 5) please submit an SPR
