| Greetings!
This call is a duplicate of #3632. I sent mail to Nancy explaining that for
Digital UNIX V4.0 - V4.0B, the PowerStorm 4D40T (and up) are not supported per
the SPD's. Support for the PowerStorm 4D40T (and up) controllers isn't listed
in the SPD until Digital UNIX V4.0C.
Per the Open3D web page, an ECO kit (for Open3D V4.3) will graft support for
the PowerStorm 4D40T (and up) controllers on Digital UNIX V4.0 - V4.0B systems,
but it is still recommended that the ECO be installed on Digital UNIX V4.0C
systems with PowerStorm 4D40T (and up) controllers. She either never got my
mail or never bothered calling back since I've still got the original call
open, cheers...

P.S. Here's my last message to Nancy (no response so far other than to log
this redundant call)...

Subj: Graphics support for the PowerStorm family of controllers...
Greetings!
Tony Swierkowski @ Digital here with some information on why you're having
trouble swapping various members of the "PowerStorm" family of graphics con-
trollers.
I've carefully reviewed the "SPD's", (i.e. Software Product Description) for
Digital UNIX V4.0, V4.0A, V4.0B, and V4.0C and while the low-end 4D20T Power-
Storm controller has been supported in all those releases of Digital UNIX,
support for the mid-range and high-end members of the "PowerStorm" family
(starting with the 4D40T and up) isn't listed as supported until Digital UNIX
V4.0C (i.e. the current release of Digital UNIX).
I did a little poking around and the Open3D group (not the base operating
system group) really owns what version of Open3D supports which controllers
on a given operating system. Per the "Digital 3D Graphics Field Test Support
Page" at: http://www.service.digital.com/open3d/ I did note however that with
"Open3D Version 4.3 for Digital Unix" (downloadable from that URL), there is an
ECO kit that apparently grafts support for the 4D40T, 4D50T and 4D60T control-
lers onto Digital UNIX V4.0, V4.0A and V4.0B systems.
It is also recommended that the ECO be installed on Digital UNIX V4.0C systems
that have the 4D40T, 4D50T or 4D60T controllers. The cover letter for that ECO
is at: http://www.service.digital.com/open3d/o3d431.html if you want to take a
look for yourself. I believe you mentioned you had Open3D V4.3 and were using
one or more variations of the Digital UNIX V4.0[any] stream. If this is the
case, you probably need the ECO. Let me know if this helps, cheers...

| Greetings!
Just a quick note to let folks know that per a conversation I just had with
Nancy re: a previous call (#3632) she had already logged on this matter, I've
closed the call I had open and assume this (redundant) call can be closed too,
cheers...
