Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
  wir setzen DEC V.4.0b zusammen mit Ihrem C-Compiler cc ein.
  Programmtext:

<We are compiling with Unix 4.0b / CC compiler the following 
program:)

     }

  Compiliert mit:  <Compiled with>
     cc -g test.c

  Dann in einem Terminalfenster dxladebug a.out gestartet.
  Fenster kommt hoch, dann kommen folgende Meldungen
<After this we started dxladebug a.out. The WIndow appears, and we 
receive the following messages:>

    "Welcome to the Ladebug Debugger V4.0b"
    "Loading .."
    Dann verschwindet die CDE-Oberfl_che und es steht wieder die 
Bootmeldungen
<After that the CDE disappears and we get the Boot message:>

    "Digital UNIX Version V4.0 (dec) console
     Login:
     ******************************************************************

     *  Starting Desktop Login on display :0...
     *  Wait for the Desktop login screen before logging in
     ******************************************************************

     Danach blinkt der Cursor und es tut sich garnichts mehr. Der 
Rechner
     wurde in dieser Situation schon mal 30 min und l_nger 
stehengelassen.
     Danach wurde er ausgeschaltet.

[Ben Santing:] I tried a solution based on the following, but it 
didn't work for them.

after downloading the latest version of decladebug 4,0-30- on unix 
4.0b
customer not able to run the debugger from cde. after looking at
what subsets he installed he did not have 
OSFLDBBASE410,DOC410,SRV410,
and GUI410.

I told him he could install these off the unix 4.0b OS install disk
cd to ALPHA then to BASE and use setld -l on instctrl
and pick 6-9 and after install confirm they are there
and try to run decladebug from cde and this should fix the problem
I had the same proble on my workstation

he also had a problem with ladebug crashing on another system
when accessing ladebug.

I told him to rebuild the kernel without the kernel debug option
and this should fix the problem
