    Brief Description of Problem:

  Porting some "C" code from U*ix to OpenVMS, but when compiling with /DEBUG
qualifier, the compiler "ACCVIO"'s.  He's using the DEC C V5.5 compiler off the
March '97 SPL.  I've asked him to mail me a log file of the command line(s)
he's using to invoke the compiler with the resulting error message(s), cheers...

	Greetings! Got the footprint from Steve. Asked version exact compiler version (suspect he's using V5.5-002). Per DECC_BUGS #1225, he needs ECO kit to bring him to V5.5-003. Pulled kit per DECC #3.44 from DECC::DECC$KIT:[ALPHA]CC01055.A and will ftp it to him as soon as he confirms his version and supplies me with an ftp sight to push it to... 	Greetings! Steve's ftp server (and his mail server was off the air all day yesterday, so I wasted time trying to send him mail and log into the account he gave me, but as of this morning, he called to tell me all was well (it wasn't). By this afternoon, I finally got connected to his ftp server and started pushing the ECO kit out (very sssslooowww!). I've sent him mail advising him my status since I wanted to verify the target files existence and size but it had already disappeared when I came back to check on the transfer, awaiting feedback...
