    Brief Description of Problem:

Olivier had a problem with a disk.  It used to have swap on G and
a filesystem on H.  He was unable to change the partition sizes using
disklabel.  All attempts (-x, -rw, -s) complained that
"...g or an overlapping partition is open"

neither df nor swapon -s showed anything in use on the disk.

I had him remove /dev/*rz0* and run MAKEDEV, also mount and unmount the
H partition.

I called him back after talking to Greg Devereaux. and (after rebooting
again) he was able to change the partion sizes.  Not sure what did it,
but he's happy again.
