| At Pete's request, I've been working directly with BMC.
Here's the extract from ALPACRT05_070.RELEASE_NOTES
o Many DEC C Runtime Library routines (fwrite in particular) are
mistakenly REENABLING AST delivery in the case where it was
disabled on entry to the routine.

Subject: DEC C RTL routines mistakenly REENABLING AST delivery
Greg/Warren --
The DEC C folks said that this fix was also included in ALPACRT06_062
and VAXACRT06_062. He went on to say that he doesn't know how this
section in the release notes got omitted.
Please try installing (ALP,VAX)ACRT0(6,7,8)_062 and see if it
fixes your problem.
