Tom is new to ASAP and was getting set to start on a port of their anti
virus software which works in conjunction with Lotus Notes and MS Exchange.
He wanted sizing information about which Alpha systems he should buy for
support of both development and testing. I spoke with him this morning and
after describing the configurations I use for development and how they seem
to compare with the dual pentium systems he says are used for their Intel
development, he had a better idea of the issues. I recommended he talk to
a salesperson who could better assist with sizing, pricing and options. He
seemed satisfied with this.
