RE: -1 I checked with Neil on all possible problems, but could come up with anything obvious. Neil will put together some benchmark for me to try here. Config: Alpha Server 4100 2CPU (466Mhz) AlphaBIOS 5.28, 970126.1242 4GB RAM 4MB Cache, processor 0 and 1 ready Firmware ?? Application was written in C++ and compiled with VC4.2b/Alpha. and pick up a patch ac242bta.exe for /Oa fix Benchmark - written by Neil For testing number of NamePipe connections/sec - Open and close name pipe within the For loop - Use Win32 code - Use Win32 Multimedia timer for measuring - use c rtl malloc for memory alloc - in memory test, no disk activities - multithreaded (ie. 3 threads) - no network, standalone system result: 1cpu - 2500 conn/sec 2cpu - 1700 Neil claimed that his application is very 'well' decomposed for SMP system, but he didn't have any Intel numbers yet. re: -1 The problem is taken offline and I will be responsible to communicate with this customer and the sales team on the status. So far I conducted some benchmark testing, and sent two reports to all stakeholders. IPMT has been filed by the sales/msc team to track this. CAPE # WEAB51094. Note closed. |
