This is mostly a problem of identifying the same disk geometry in /etc/disktab as the ST15150N. It looks to be a rz29b. The customer needs to: 1) Make sure the disk is identified at the console with a show dev 2) Make sure there is a special device file for the disk using MAKEDEV 3) Write a new disklabel on the disk with disklabel -rw rz5 rz29b 4) Put a new file system on the disk with newfs /dev/rrz5 This should work, although performance will not neccessarily be as good as the Digital distributed disk, due to Digital specific performance enhancements on the rz29b's firmware which won't show up in the off the shelf version.
