Subject: AXP/VMS V7.1
Date: Tue, 22 Apr 1997 19:14:18 -0400
X-Mailer: Microsoft Exchange Server Internet Mail Connector Version 4.0.994.63
Encoding: 44 TEXT

I have several issues surrounding AXP/VMS V7.1.

1. We have not yet received our final distribution.

2. I installed V7.1FT2 as a result of not getting V7.1 final yet
   and now I have 2 big problems:

   a. The UCX$POP image fails with an ACCESS VIOLATION sending me a mail
      message, but no other useful information whenever someone tries to
      read their mail via the POP server.

   b. PROXIES now don't seem to work. I have an application that uses
DECNET
      object and they used to work before I upgraded. They now don't
work
      and I get the following error:

	%SYSTEM-F-NOSUCHOBJ, network object is unknown at remote node

      Here's the output from Authorize for the PROXIEs

UAF> sh /prox *

 Default proxies are flagged with (D)

LOCAL:.SPIA::SYSTEM
    HTTP_SERVER

LOCAL:.SPIA::HTTP_SERVER
    HTTP_SERVER (D)

      I did upgrade to DECNET Plus as recommended.

      WHAT's WRONG?

Rick,

I don't know who was supposed to send you the OpenVMS Alpha V7.1 release,
but send me your shipping address and I'll get a kit out to you.

Please send me the output of the commands below so that I can determine
what version of TCP/IP Services (UCX) you are running. I recommend that you
obtain and install the latest patch level for UCX. The public patches
are available on the Internet at www.service.digital.com

$ ucx
