    Brief Description of Problem:

John wanted to use floppies to move data from a Sun Solaris system to a Digital
UNIX system.  He tried mounting the floppy on the Solaris system, copying the
files to the floppy, then mounting it on the Digital UNIX system.  Not
surprisingly, this failed. 

I suggested he try another mechanism, such as tar or cpio, and noted that this
wasn't really a migration issue.
