We own a DECServer 90m (NetRider) and use it to provide dialin PPP
access for individual PC's to our network. We had hoped to use it to
allow a business partner to dial in using a Telebit NetBlazer serial
router, thereby connecting our two LAN's. We have the IP addresses and
masks allocated to make this possible.
Questions:
- Will the 90m function as a router on the incoming side of a PPP
dial-up connection from our business partner's NetBlazer?
- If not, is there a software upgrade which adds the routing function?
- If yes, it is not clear from the manuals how to properly set up the
routes between our two networks. Hints?
Best regards
Rick Evans

Subj: RE: FWD: Technical support request
Rick,
I am no networking specialist but I have found out that you cannot use a
DECServer 90M as a router.
To progress this further you should contact your local Digital sales office or
distributer and talk to a network specialist.
Regards,
Simon
