Brief Description of Problem:
-----------------------------
Dear Mr Miller:
Thank you for your guidance by email on 2/18.
We have successfully realized a Callback that works as following:
1. Alpha works as server, NT as a client as wall as a server to receive
callbacks from the Alpha.
2. NT talk to Alpha use SII. Alpha call back to NT use DII.
3. NT starts callback server by an individual program. Callback goes to that
program.
4. The Callback uses a oneway call.
Now, we want to start server and client on NT side by a single program. We
tried using a thread to execute the server function "main_loop ()".
It seems that it does not work properly. The client system
generates a system exception says: "no Implementation". Actually, the
implementation on NT has been registered and activated in a secondary thread.
Will the NT Implementation function in a multi-threaded environment ?
If we can not used threads, how it it possible to implement a callback ?
Specificially every experiment we have tried has failed. Any additional help
you can provide would be most welcome.
Thank You,
Hanlin

P.S.
Any idea when we can expect the Event Service and DSI ?
