Subj: RE: DecUnix Installation Problem
Mark, I have another problem, when this system was running NT Server
they put in a 3COM network card to get the machine working on the
network. But now I am trying to get the DEC Etherworks Turbo PCI card
working with DecUnix 3.2D-1. I run the setup after the systems comes up,
and it sees the card, I configure it but the network won't start and
when the system boots it says that the card is using the AUI port but it
says no network. I checked the network tap on another machine and
verified it good but can't get the network to start. I was wondering if
you have any suggestions.

ark, here is the message during Unix boot:

DEC Tulip Ethernet Interface hardware address 08-00-2b-e5-c8-41
tu0: console mode: selecting AUI (10Base5) port: no carrier

As I said I checked the network tap and verified that it is working
    properly. Any suggestions

..I take it there is only one card in the system.. What happens if you
put a loopback connector on the aui port......What happens when you
    run
ecu does it show up in auto sensing mode?
