Subject: Saving license file for during upgrade of O/S
Hi - I am going to be upgrading my DEC Alpha system to the latest
revision of Digital Unix (4.0 something) and I was told by
my system administrator (who is no longer here) that I could
just save a copy of the license database file so that I would
not have to re-enter the license paks when I did the upgrade.
Actually, I am not going to do an upgrade, I am just going to load
        the new version from scratch.
Can this be done? I don't remember the name of the license
        database file and its location.
        My PIN number is 102395.

| | Rob,
All the license information files are in the following directory. You should
probably save all of them.
   /usr/var/adm/lmf
   Hopes this helps.
