Hello ASAP

In ASAPOnLine newsletter Winter96/97 you announced the availability of =
JDK for OpenVMS (page 3, developer central "Java for DIGITAL UNIX and =
**OpenVMS**" by Mark Schafer). Neither in the article nor anywhere on =
the Web, I found more information.

Is it planned, is it scheduled?
thank you for any hint!

By the way: Where is JDK for NT-Alpha?

Oliver,

Thank you for the inquiry.  At this time the product manager says beta release
of the JDK V1.1 for OpenVMS (Alpha and VAX) will be sometime this summer.

The JDK includes the base development tools and the run-time environment.  We
are hoping to include a JIT compiler in the run-time at that time.

We have an internal JDK for Windows NT Alpha, and I'm checking into whether
Microsoft will be providing one soon.
