  RE: -1

  When Harry tried to reinstall AVMS 6.1 over a failed installation V6.2,
  he got the following error:

     "Invalid Item qualifier, ...encountered... %PCSI-E-MODREPLERR
      ...end replacing account...VMS%common.[].SYSLIB[DCLtables.exe];
      ...-DCE-E-NOMSG; .. -MSG00118048"

  Then the installation was terminated. Harry claimed that he had
  the installation manual. Also, he is willing to do a fresh build
  to get back his AVMS 6.1 system.

    I spoke with him today. He read back some of the error messages and I
    believe that he has a hardware error. Either the CD media, CD-ROM
    drive, SCSI cable/connectors, ... We ruled out the media since he's
    getting the same errors using either the V6.1 or 6.2 disc. I suggested
    that he call field service and get an estimate on diagnosing&fixing the
    problem. I also pointed out that there are newer systems available
    that are faster and also run Windows NT, if that's attractive to them.

    I left him my phone number.
