The app was developed under 3.2. They suspect it has something to do with the fact that CDE is the default for 4.0.

3183.1 | Routine no longer in 4.0 | HYDRA::BRYANT | Thu Feb 13 1997 09:42 | 12
Digital_UNIX note 8813 response to my question: Are they calling it directly? It's not a supported or documented routine. All kernels V3 and later are "realtime." That is, they support the behaviors that V1 and V2 realtime_kernel call was supposed to detect at runtime. The routine stayed in 3.2 but always returned TRUE. In V4.0, it was "optimized" away. Its only supported caller was the sysconf routine in libc. Shoulda made it static I guess. Partner is going to try to create dummy realtime_kernel() function and try relinking.

It's been two weeks so I think it's safe to assume they do not require our assistance here. |
