Company Name : Gray Matter Contact Name : Fred Morris Or Scott Phone : (206) 329 8800 x 115 Fax : Email : [email protected] Date/Time in : 10-FEB-1997 16:35:10 Entered by : Navin Modi SPE center : MRO Category : VMS, UCX?? OS Version : System H/W : Alpha Brief Description of Problem: ----------------------------- Fred is developing around TCP/IP libraries on OpenVMS. He is using gethostbyname() and other IP system calls. These API calls use low level routines such as res_search() or res_query() to name a couple. He is having problems with resolving this library routines. He needs a documentation which discusses these low level routines used by TCP/IP API(part of UCX?) on OpenVMS. I could not find any documentation on VMS for these routines. I will research further and get back to Fred. -Navin

Neither res_search nor res_query sound like UCX names. How does he know that UCX is calling routines by these names? What UCX routines does he sayare trying to make these calls? -- Chuck Newman | |||||
