I called back and suggested that he check his /sys/conf/HOSTNAME file
and see if "options CDFS" is in the file. If not, edit and rebuild the
file. (This was a voicemail message).

    Waiting for callback.

Nari said the customer called back to say that "options CDFS" was in
the system configuration file, and he still cannot read the CD. It is
    from Corel.

There are additional extensions which may be used, such as Rock Ridge
Extensions (in which case you'd do something like this:)

    mount -t cdfs -o rrip

or you could try -o noversion

    ...

I called and left message for the customer to call back.

    To recap:

The device works (can mount other CDs just fine)

cdfs is in the system configuration file

     mount -r -t cdfs -o noversion /dev/rz4c /cdrom does not work

Neither does any combination of -o rrip

(?) Corel v4 mounts fine, v5 does not

mounts fine on other vendors systems

At this point I strongly suggested he call 1-800-354-9000 AND Corel.
(He does not want to call Corel for some reason).
