    Brief Description of Problem:
    -----------------------------

Application compiled fine using 3.2 41 alpha. They have since upgraded to
V4.1, and now are encountering errors indicating there are problems with
stdlib.h and type.h

Language is C, and they are also using Oracle 7.1.6. The precompiler version
is 2.0.6.0.0

I will check on the errors, while Sandy calls Oracle to see if it has been
checked out for Digital UNIX v4.1.

    I see no mention of the errors, and so I suspect the problem is with
    Oracle v7.1.6 and Digital UNIX v4.1 (not checked out?)

    I'll also check and see if for some reason these header files changed
    recently.

Subj:	RE: Oracle Proc*C question...

Wiekus Beukes,

I got the information that Oracle has changed some options ( I dont
have the details) relating to Pro*C. But I understand that to avoid
the error that you are encountering, please add these two options
to the proc.mk ( or to the make file that you are using ) and then
invoke make.

the options are

define=__DECC code=ANSI

Hope this helps

Subj:	Seq No: 1997-3154 (add the following to your make file)

Sandy,

Through my research I found out that Oracle has changed some options
relating to Pro*C. I do not have the details of the changes made, nor
the problems encountered...but the recommendation is to add the following
to either proc.mk or the make file you are using:

define=__DECC code=ANSI

Last we spoke you were going to contact Oracle. Continue to pursue this
with them so that you might gather more details about the problem.

If you continue to need help please do not hesitate to contact us and
refer to Seq No. 1997-3154.

Good Luck,

Donna
